WHAT IS NEUROPSYCHOLOGY?

Joseph E. Conroy, Ph.D., ABPN

Dr. Conroy is a psychologist licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey . He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and an earned diplomate in Clinical Neuropsychology from the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology. He holds an added qualification in child / adolescent neuropsychology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Professional Neuropsychology.

Dr. Conroy conducts an independent practice and is a consultant to public school districts, independent schools, colleges and universities, and a wide range of agencies and organizations. Dr. Conroy has been involved in varied capacities since 1980 in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with cognitive, developmental, and behavioral challenges.

Dr. Conroy spent 15 years at Monmouth Medical Center in varied clinical and administrative roles. These included: assessment and intervention with medically fragile/chronically ill/developmentally delayed children, and supervision and training of medical residents as part of developmental and community rotations. He also supervised and trained psychology predoctoral interns. Dr. Conroy was also a consultant staff psychologist at Monmouth Medical Center on the subspecialty teams of the Regional Newborn Extension Program and Pediatric Pulmonology Program as well as to the inpatient population and subspecialties of neurology, endocrinology and oncology. He established, and directed the medical center's early intervention program for 10 years.

Dr. Conroy provides neuropsychological and clinical psychology services at CNS. Services include neuropsychological evaluation, cognitive rehabilitation, individual and family consultation and psychotherapy, and school and professional consultation. Special interests include developmental and neuropsychological diagnostics and treatment, sports concussion management, and developmental and learning disabilities.

Dr. Conroy is a Certified ImPACT Consultant, with specific training and expertise in the management of sports concussion.

Michael J. Raymond, Ph.D., ABPN

Dr Raymond is the Director of the Department of Neuropsychological/Cognitive Services and Clinical Director of the Brain Injury Program at Allied Services, John Heinz Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, Wilkes-Barre , Pennsylvania . He is Director of Adult Neuropsychology Services at CNS.

Dr. Raymond has taught graduate neuropsychology courses in local colleges and is currently an adjunct Clinical Professor in Psychology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM).

He serves as a clinical surveyor (brain injury programs) for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). He is an examiner for the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology and the New Jersey State Board of Psychological Examiners.

Dr Raymond is a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the American College of Professional Neuropsychology. He is board certified in neuropsychology and has added qualifications in rehabilitation and forensic neuropsychology (American Board of Professional Neuropsychology).

Dr. Raymond is a Certified ImPACT Consultant, with specific training and expertise in the management of sports concussion.



He has lectured and authored or co-authored numerous publications (articles, book chapters, manuals, and books) in areas related to neuropsychological assessment, brain injury rehabilitation, dementia and other neurological disorders including Brainwave-R: Cognitive Strategies and Techniques for Brain Injury Rehabilitation (1997) and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury: A Clinician's Guide (1999).
